Position Overview

We are seeking a high-caliber Field Service Technician to complement our growing organization. In this role, you will execute Genizer’s service strategy and provide technical service and support across our full line of scientific equipment.

You will work hands-on with advanced technology and collaborate with fascinating clients worldwide. This role also offers the opportunity to grow and lead Genizer service operations within your designated region. Frequent travel is expected.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, set up, and train customers on Genizer’s scientific equipment, both on-site and via video conferencing

  • Provide repair and service support with or without customers present, including on-site, virtual, and in-house support at Genizer headquarters

  • Determine appropriate system configurations for customer applications and perform sample processing / proof-of-concept testing

  • Perform quality control (QC) testing to ensure equipment readiness prior to shipment and customer use

  • Support shipping activities once equipment has passed all QC requirements

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams while independently managing scheduled and unscheduled service needs

  • Track recurring equipment issues and proactively develop solutions to prevent future occurrences

  • Manage, track, and maintain a detailed parts inventory and coordinate reordering as needed

  • Assist in creating customer-facing equipment videos and written guides

  • Assist with order shipment logistics as required

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent hands-on technical experience

  • Proficiency in written and spoken technical English

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an industrial technician or equivalent

  • Strong experience with electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair

  • Working knowledge of troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems

  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours when required (e.g., trade shows, Saturday open houses)

  • High attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and ability to learn quickly

  • Ability to multitask, manage schedules, and complete tasks accurately and on time

  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Willingness and ability to travel locally, nationally, and internationally for training and service

  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of responsibilities, and maintain high accuracy

  • Ability to lift up to 30 kg / 66 lbs
